DEAR
EVAN
HANSEN

ONE YEAR ON TOUR

Ian grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland singing around the house and playing baseball with his brother, Connor. As he grew older, he began to train as an actor, performing in productions with educational theatre companies in the area. He spent years with Young Artists of America and the Good Counsel Theatre Company.

When the Covid-19 Pandemic hit, Ian continued to create theatre alongside many of the friends he made doing shows in high school. Ian co-founded an educational theatre company, where he served as music director, passing on his knowledge to young theatre-lovers in the D.C area who did not have the same opportunities he did due to the pandemic. During this time, Ian also found new ways to create theatre, originating roles in online-workshops written by his best friend Daniel Seligman.  Ian also picked up the guitar and began to fall in love with other aspects of musical theatre, including music direction, orchestration, and composition.

In 2020, Ian began attending The University of Michigan, getting his B.F.A in Musical Theatre and a minor in music composition. At "UMich", Ian starred in several productions, including DOGFIGHT (Eddie Birdlace) HAIR (George Berger) and CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (Frank Abagnale Jr.). Ian also assistant music directed the school's production of Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY under the music direction of Jason DeBord, and played saxophone in the pit of school productions such as FUNNY GIRL and VANITIES

In 2022, Ian took a year away from school, joining the

National Tour of DEAR EVAN HANSEN where he

understudied the roles of Connor and Jared.

A year later, Ian returned to Michigan and graduated (on time!) with his class, earning a B.F.A in Musical Theatre.

Now living in New York, Ian loves playing baseball and going on adventures alongside his cockapoo, Papi.
